Junior Skill Level Guide |

| 1.0 | Beginner/Advanced Beginner - Just beginning tennis, may have had some lessons, may not be playing sets. |
| 2.0 | Advanced Beginner+ - Beginning to play sets and understand scoring, needs instruction and practice. |
| 3.0 | Intermediate - Plays sets, can improve with practice and instruction, should consider playing competitively. |
| 4.0 | Intermediate+ - Can place the ball in court with accuracy, gets first serve in most of the time, should play competitively. |
| 5.0 | Tournament/School Team Play - Is working on obtaining a ranking at district level or above. |
| 6.0 | CITA Ranking Level |
| 7.0 | CITA, MIDWEST, and/or NATIONAL RANKING |
