TENNIS   NOTES

  • Purchase a Summer Play Pass - free court fees for pass holder and free access to several play groups!  (See details below.)

  • See USA Adult Tennis I, II, III. for more information about our adult learn to play/re-entry tennis classes. 

  • See the NTRP Rating Guide or detailed NTRP Verification Guidelines to determine level of play.

  • Try Cardio Tennis - A FUN way to get in shape or stay fit!  Six-week sessions -meet once a week for a one-hour, on-court cardio workout.  Contact Cardio Tennis Program Director, Dan Donovan, at 317-849-2531 extension 43.

  • Seasonal Courts - IRC members can reserve a court on a permanent basis for summer and/or fall/winter and be guaranteed an available court at the same time each week.  Add a teaching pro to your private group to maximize your fun and learning experience!  Contact IRC's Member Services Office at 317-849-2531 for more information.

  • USTA Summer League teams forming now.  Levels 2.5 to Open - Men, Women & Mixed Doubles.  Call the Member Services Office.  25% Discount on Team Uniforms - contact Rebecca Henry at IRC 317-849-2531, ext. 16.

  • Need a coach this summer for your private group or court at your home?  Contact our Tennis Director Ed Brune at 849-2531, ext. 23.

  • Children's Birthday Parties at IRC this Summer!  Parties include: fun on-court activities with pro, free use of racquets, prizes for on-court activities, use of upstairs "party room".

Summer Childcare at Dean Road:

$2.50 per child per hour

IRC provides a babysitting service to parents for use while on-site for children who are at least 12 months old.  Name labels are required on all bottles, cups, diapers, lunch boxes, etc.  Hot food and/or drinks are not permitted in the nursery.  Please include "finger foods" in your child's lunch; time may not permit for single feedings.

Court Fees IRC members can reserve courts up to two weeks in advance by phone or in person.  A minimum of 24-hour notice is required to cancel a reservation to avoid being charged.

Junior Walk-on

Walk-on privileges are based on court availability and allow a player the use of a court at a nominal fee without making an advanced reservation.  Mandatory check-in at the IRC front desk and payment are required before using the courts.

Private lessons are available with any one of our experienced teaching professionals.  Non-members can take up to three lessons before an IRC membership is required.  All private lesson cancellations must be done directly with the teaching pro at least 24 hours in advance.  "No-shows" and late cancellations may be charged at the pro's discretion.
